Motion Identity Studio

We build strategic motion identities and scalable motion systems for global brands — the motion language a brand lives by, not just the videos that show it off once.

What is a Motion Identity

A visual identity tells people what a brand looks like. A Motion Identity tells them what it does when it moves — how it accelerates, how it breathes, what its rhythm is, what it never does. Most brands design the first and improvise the second, project by project, team by team. That's how motion inconsistency happens: a brand that looks coherent everywhere and moves like five different companies depending on who animated it that week.

A Motion Identity closes that gap. It's a system — principles, physics, and guidelines derived from brand strategy, built once and applied consistently across every market, every team, every format.

Living Identities: our methodology

Living Identities is Plenty's proprietary framework for building a Motion Identity. It starts before any animation gets made:

Brand Purpose → Narrative Driver → Motion Driver → Motion Physics → Living System.

We start with why the brand exists, translate that into a Narrative Driver (what story the brand is telling) and a Motion Driver (what that story means physically — fast or slow, sharp or soft, playful or precise). From there we define Motion Physics and Motion Principles: the actual rules — timing, easing, weight, behavior — that make the brand move like itself and nothing else.

The output isn't a video. It's a system: a Kinetic Dictionary of defined motion principles across five categories — Timing, Physics, Brand, Interface, and Emotion — plus the toolkits, guidelines, and animator briefs a brand's own team (or any team) can use to keep that motion language consistent for years, across markets, without Plenty in the room every time.

We treat brands as living entities. Motion decisions come from strategy, not from whatever looks cool in After Effects that day.

Proof: Mercado Libre

The clearest example of Living Identities at scale is the Brand Content Engine we built for Mercado Libre: a motion system designed to produce personalized CG content across 14 markets, consistently, without rebuilding the identity from scratch for every country. It's the difference between a brand film and a brand system — one is a deliverable, the other keeps working after we leave the project.

Who this is for

We work directly with brands that need their motion to scale — consistently, across countries, campaigns, and teams. We also work behind branding agencies: when a visual identity is finished and needs a motion language to go with it, we come in as the specialist motion partner, not a competing branding shop.

If your agency just delivered a new brand identity and doesn't have a motion practice, or your global brand needs one moving system instead of a different vendor per market, that's exactly the gap Living Identities was built to close.

Let's define how your brand moves.
