Miércoles de Película

Sony Channel wanted us to rebrand one of their tv segments:
Miércoles de Película (Movie Wednesdays).
It was a refreshing project since we love doing branding, and this one was no exception. We definetely enjoyed it. Hope you do to!

Modular Colorful Experience
We aimed at making a colorful and creative rebrand.
A simple yet vibrant design foundation is set by a modular grid.
Flowing from right to left, mirroring the motion of rolling film, ensuring an engaging visual experience.
Illustrations and footage seamlessly merge cinematic and home comforts (from TV devices and film rolls to snug slippers and buckets of popcorn) with the images from your favourite movies.
Animated on a rhythmic double-tempo, it almost feels like a heartbeat ♡.
Color
We based the color palette on the opposing hues of blue and orange ever present in the warmth of our home lights and the cool glow of TV screens, or in the coziness of our homes contrasted with the cold night outside.
The system also incorporates secondary colors (pink, green, and yellow) to create a richer, more vibrant feel. After all, it’s all about enjoying a happy moment :)
Illustrations
We complemented this with a set of simple yet bold and distinctive illustrations that speak to cinema and movies and, of course, the convenience and comfort of watching them at home.
Simple loop animations bring these illustrations to life, each telling its own small story and contributing to the overall lighthearted and fun spirit.
New Logo
They didn’t want to completely loose their logo, since it was really familiar to their audience, so we decided to maintain the wordmark and gave it a new container with the ever-changing illulstration that goes always alongside it.
